Hello and Welcome!

I create and foster a safe, nonjudgmental environment allowing you to discover and reveal feelings, thoughts or situations that are tripping you up and causing pain. Sessions are always tailored to individual needs. Sometimes listening and understanding dynamics with others or within yourself is helpful. Sometimes a supportive plan of action emerges.  The pace and agenda remains yours.

My office is private, cozy and comfortable with a huge windows that allow for plenty of natural light.

I can help you address challenges including family and relationships, addictions you are concerned about in yourself or a family member, anxiety, depression, parenting, parenting children with special needs, unexpected illness, loss, demons or trauma from the past, fears of the future, LGBTQ-related issues, writing, art, or other work blocks, work and financial uncertainty.

My approach to therapy is eclectic on purpose; each of us is different.  I do include Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), motivational interviewing, inner child, visualization, breathing techniques and many other effective tools to bring you closer to where you want to be.

I am a graduate of Yale University and the New York University Silver School of Social Work. I am a therapist because I believe in the power of change and the importance of self care and healing.

My approach varies with each client. Together we can look at the places in life that challenge, scare and/or overwhelm you. We will grow in understanding of these triggers and of your responses to them and find tools and solutions to help you navigate the challenges and your inner experience of them, often resulting in a greater sense of peace, safety and confidence.
